This course is for current or prospective Release train Engineers or Chief Scrum Masters, who want to gain a deeper understanding and know what it really means to be an RTE or CSM. This course “WoW!–enhanced SAFe® Release Train Engineer 5” is a 3-day course that equips the attendee with a massive set of tools. To really benefit from this course, it’s good if the attendee is very well familiar with the Scrum Master role, and preferably has been a Scrum Master for some time.
The WoW! Agile “Enhanced SAFe” concept means that our course leaders have personal experience from the roles, contained in the course. This mean that the attendees will get first hand information about what really works well in practice, and what is a little more difficult.
Unique to SAFe®, the Release Train Engineer (RTE) is part of the trio of leaders that includes product managers and system architects. This plays a critical role in leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to deliver value. This means that the RTE must create the right environment, have the right conversations, facilitate the right meetings, and gather the right people to make decisions based on the right data. You’ll get the guidance and tools you need to work effectively in remote environments with distributed teams.
As a practicing scrum master in a SAFe® organization, you’ve got the tactical skills to coach Agile teams in delivering business value. Build on that strong foundation in the SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master course and discover how to facilitate success for Agile teams, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and the organization. And get the guidance and tools you need to work effectively in remote environments with distributed teams.
You’ll learn how to apply Lean, Kanban, DevOps, and SAFe® principles to improve team and business outcomes. You’ll up-level your facilitation skills for key Agile and SAFe® events, whether they’re in person or across teams and time zones. And you’ll discover how communities of practice can support continuous improvement.
Aligning strategy with execution is critical to any organization’s success and a key aspect of Scaled Agile Framework®. With a Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) approach, you can collaborate across silos, empower teams, and organise around value to adapt to what customers want, faster.
In this two-day WoW!-enhanced Lean Portfolio Management course, executives, project management officers and other key stakeholders learn how to plan dynamically and be flexible enough to adjust initiatives and budgets as the market changes. The LPM course provides the guidance and tools attendees need to work effectively in remote environments with distributed teams. You’ll learn how to connect portfolio strategy and initiatives to the planning and execution of work, how to integrate feedback from participatory budgeting, and how to adapt to change while maintaining your funding vision and roadmap.
In addition to all the above, Mats will add stories from his various agile assignments.
In this two-day course, attendees gain an understanding of the role of a Scrum Master in a SAFe® enterprise. Unlike traditional Scrum Master training that focuses on the fundamentals of team-level Scrum, the SAFe® Scrum Master course explores the role of the Scrum Master in the context of the entire enterprise, and prepares attendees to successfully plan and execute the Program Increment (PI), the primary enabler of alignment throughout all levels of a SAFe® organization. This includes learning the key components of Agile at scale development, how Scrum is facilitated throughout the enterprise, and how to execute Iteration Planning.
Attendees discover how to build high performing Agile teams by becoming a servant leader and coach, and how to coach those teams to deliver the maximum business value at scale.
During this two-day course, attendees gain the knowledge necessary to lead a Lean-Agile enterprise by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and its underlying principles derived from Lean, systems thinking, Agile development, product development flow, and DevOps.
Participants in the class gain insights into mastering Business Agility in order to thrive in the competitive market. They discuss how to establish team and technical agility and organize and re-organize around the flow of value. They also learn and practice the skills for supporting and executing PI Planning events and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs). Participants in the class explore the importance of adopting a customer-centric mindset and design thinking approach to agile product delivery. Learners also develop an understanding for implementing a Lean Portfolio Management function in their enterprise.
